Chac Mool symbolic carved limestone god in Mayan ruins at the ancient city of Chichen Itza on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. This sculpture is at the very top of a long narrow secret passage in the pyramid known as the castle. The recptacle placed in the centre may have been used to hold the victim's heart.
