Fighting between neo nazis and the 24 hour picket outside 24 hour picket of South Africa House. 13 November 1988.

Fighting between anti racists from Red Action and Anti Fascist Action against National Front and Combat 18 members who had attacked the permanent picket outside South Africa House after the Remembrance Day march on 13 November 1988.

I was sort of expecting the attack from the NF and C18 so when it kicked off I was well placed to get good whack from the massive C18 guy Phil Edwards.

Luckily for my good looks he hit the camera (leaving shreds of knuckle skin on the filter rim). It was still enough to lift me off my feet, move me a couple of metres back and turn my flash into shrapnel.

Edwards moved on to attack Unmesh Desai and I did my best to get a few pics with a buggered camera and no flash. The cops arrested Unmesh of course - but my pics broke their case and (I think) got him some compensation.
