Come Hell or High Water, a monthly event that takes place on the Thames foreshore at low tide
A pocket of resistance with performances on the banks of the River Thames by Canary Wharf, a place that exists between water and land, private and public space, wealth and poverty, past and present, and an unknowable future. Where the tide slowly recedes, and a small foreshore is temporarily exposed...Sunday 19 April, 2020, 5 pm: With the country under Covid-19 lockdown the performances only exist in a parallel world but Anne Bean, an organiser, and two helpers have raised the yellow ribbons. At one point a random young woman, out walking with her mother, came down from the path to walk carefully and gracefully across the foreshore in a random spontaneous performance.
