Gary Arber, printer and stationer in his old Roman Road shop 'W. F. Arber & Co Ltd' named after his grandfather who opened it in 1897 as a printing works and toy shop. Gary is my local printer and supplies my stationery. His grandmother Emily Arber was a suffragette, and insisted his grandfather print the handbills for her friend Mrs Pankhurst free of charge. The same presses still sit in the basement.
