Police Consultative Committee meeting. 11 March 1987 Meeting called by police under the (later disgraced) DAC Wyn Jones. Selected groups only were invited and voting cards distributed by the police to about 60 of the 200 present. There was strong opposition from those present (both with and wiothout cards) to the way that the meeting had been called and a vote of 2 to 1 against the meeting continuing was taken. DAC Wyn Jones continued anyway, putting a local solicitor, Mr Walford, in the chair. There was strong vocal opposition to this move and although a number of people spoke, largely against the way that the meeting had been set up, it eventually broke up without any decisions being reached..11 Mar 1987
