Stop the City, an anti-capitalist anarchist protest to bring the City of London to a halt. Disorganised and massive it was surprisingly successful for most of the day.
Unlawful arrest by Sergeant "Bert" Weedon using a dangerous choke hold to strangle Kieran Moylett who had photographed him strangling another protester. Weedon then dropped Moylett to come and strangle the photographer. It was that sort of day.
Moylett was acquitted, sued the police and was paid compensation that he used to start a punk band.
