The legal action arose when staff members from Campaign Against Arms Trade attended a meeting of Reed Elsevier, as shareholders, to question the board about its acquisition of a company which organised arms fairs. The police will now need to ensure that their surveillance practices comply with the court ruling and human rights legislation.
