400,000 tonnes a year of sick, injured, diseased and rejected animal carcasses are rendered at the Animalia factory, Denderleeuw, Belgium. Carcasses are cooked, divided into fat & dry matter for animal feed, fertiliser and glue. Effluent from the factory leaves the adjacent River Dender dead.
